Green Rock has joined the UN “Women’s Empowerment Principles” program

The “Ring the Bell for Gender Equality” event dedicated to the principles of women’s empowerment of the United Nations Development Program took place today.

During the event, opening speech was made by Konstantin Sokulsky, the UNDP Deputy Permanent Representative in Armenia, Klaus Kaper, the Head of the Austrian Development Coordination Office in Armenia, Olga Azatyan, a representative from “UN Women” organization, and Hayk Yeganyan, the General Director of the Armenian Stock Exchange.

During the event, 6 Armenian private companies, including “Green Rock “, formally signed a joint declaration of the “Women’s Empowerment Principles “.

The Armenian Stock Exchange joined the “Ring the Bell for Gender Equality” initiative in 2019 and embraced the UN Women’s Empowerment Principles (WEPs) in 2020, setting a precedent for numerous Armenian organizations.

On behalf of “Green Rock ” the declaration was signed by the Deputy Director, Felix Dilanyan.

The objective of the United Nations “Principles of Women’s Empowerment” initiative is to advance women’s empowerment and foster gender equality within workplaces, communities, and the business sector.
