Mysterious flight destination to Armenia: A group of travelers participating in Wizz Air’s “Let’s Get Lost” campaign revealed their surprise destination only after landing.
According to “Armenpress,” the mysterious flight departed from London, bringing together more than 100 travelers, social media influencers, journalists and adventurers who participated in one of Wizz Air’s most famous campaigns.
Throughout the flight, the final destination was not announced to the passengers, turning the journey into an interesting and unexpected experience. Upon arrival in Yerevan, the guests were greeted at the airport with music, dance and warm Armenian hospitality, introducing the culture and atmosphere of Armenia. Afterwards, the guests attended an official reception organized at the National Gallery.
“We are happy to finally reveal Armenia as a destination for this edition of the “Let’s Get Lost” campaign. Seeing the excitement and surprise of the passengers when they learned where they had landed was truly a special moment. Armenia is a wonderful destination with so much to offer travelers, from a rich history and vibrant culture to warm hospitality and beautiful landscapes. Through initiatives like “Let’s Get Lost”, Wizz Air is proud to support the development of tourism and encourage travelers to discover new and exciting destinations on our network,” said Vera Yardan, Head of Corporate Communications at Wizz Air.
During the program, participants will visit a number of important landmarks in Armenia, getting acquainted with the country’s rich history, culture, gastronomy and tourism potential.
“We are delighted to welcome the participants of Wizz Air’s “Let’s Get Lost” campaign to Armenia. We are also proud that Armenia has become one of the countries where this campaign is being implemented. This initiative best reflects the idea of modern travel: curiosity, discovery and real experiences. We are confident that visitors will leave Armenia with vivid impressions and warm memories,” said Lusine Gevorgyan, Chairwoman of the Tourism Committee of the RA Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
The Chairwoman of the Committee said that this annual program is implemented by Wizz Air. “Blind ticket” sales are announced for several hours, and during that time people buy tickets without knowing which country they will be traveling to. Last year, the host country was the United Arab Emirates, and the tourists were hosted in Abu Dhabi. During the official reception, the guests were welcomed by the Chargé d’Affaires of the British Embassy in Armenia, Paul Morris, noting that they are looking forward to a wonderful three days in Armenia.
He emphasized that he is sure that they will have a wonderful time in the coming days, discovering Armenia. “These days are a great opportunity to see and learn more about Armenia and Yerevan.” Katerina Danekina, Executive Director of Green Rock, also welcomed the guests, encouraging them to discover the regions of Armenia and the city of Dilijan, known as “Little Switzerland” due to its nature, atmosphere and mountain tourism opportunities.
She noted that Armenia has not only beautiful nature, but also a rich entertainment life with bars, restaurants and clubs that can give travelers vivid and unforgettable emotions.
The participants also noted that they were very happy to be in Armenia, as well as the interesting feeling of traveling to a destination they had no idea about. Many noted that they had only been in Armenia for a few hours, but were already impressed by the warm welcome and were looking forward to interesting and unforgettable discoveries in the future.
This initiative comes ahead of Wizz Air’s new London-Yerevan flight, which is scheduled to begin on June 12, 2026.
