The reconstruction of Dilijan’s only sports complex is now a reality.

Today, on December 9, it was officially handed over to the residents of the city:

The opening ceremony of the sports school was attended by Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, Minister of Education, Science, Culture, and Sports of the Republic of Armenia Zhanna Andreasyan, Governor of Tavush region Hayk Galumyan, Head of the Dilijan community David Sargsyan, Minister of Economy of the RA Vahan Kerobyan, and representatives of various companies.

Dilijan residents enjoyed performances by their favorite artists “Garik and Sona,” “Hayat Project,” and “Lav eli.”

In his speech, Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan expressed special gratitude to “Green Rock” company for the initiative, emphasizing the importance of private-sector investments in line with government strategies.

Afterward, the Prime Minister toured the sports complex and familiarized himself with the completed construction works.

According to the head of the Dilijan community, David Sargsyan, the repair of the sports complex is one of the most essential steps for the benefit of the community. Mr. Sargsyan also highlighted the importance of involving young girls in sports.

Major repairs and equipment of the school were carried out by the “Green Rock” company. The repair work was conducted with effective cooperation between the regional administration of the community and the municipality․

The founder of the “Green Rock” company, Mareta Gevorkyan, thanked the Governor of Tavush, Hayk Galumyan, and the head of the Dilijan community, David Sargsyan, for their exceptional willingness to cooperate with the city. Ms. Gevorgkan highlighted the importance of having a sports school for the development of the sports life of the region, stressing that it promotes a healthy lifestyle, and helps the children of the region reach heights in this area. Based on these goals, “Green Rock” company decided to take over the reconstruction of the sports school.

The building is fully equipped with all necessary amenities and equipment that meet international standards.

A rhythmic gymnastics club has been added to the wrestling, boxing, arm wrestling, and table tennis clubs operating at the school. Sports complex is designed to accommodate about 500 students.
