Natalia Eshenkova. Building a culture in a company is like building a house.

– Natalya, how did you appear at “GreenRock”?

Didn’t they explain to you at the university that for the initial three years, the academic record book benefits the student, and afterwards, the student benefits from it? I landed a position at Greenrock through networking; after reaching a certain point in life, opportunities come to you instead of you having to seek them out.

– Which is the most essential part of your work?

Establishing trust and open communication with both the team and partners involves using straightforward, clear language, paying attention to details, and the capacity to consider multiple approaches simultaneously when resolving an issue.

– Natalya, each of your colleagues has their unique perspective on the company’s corporate culture. What type of culture do you believe has developed?

I truly believe that developing a culture within a company is akin to constructing a house. Are you aware that it’s advised not to hang wallpaper in the initial years after a house is built because the structure settles, potentially leading to cracks, and the wallpaper might get distorted? It’s similar with culture. In my view, the culture at Green Rock hasn’t fully settled yet, but there are distinct cultural characteristics emerging, and the most crucial among them is the dialogue. We engage in extensive discussions within the company and collaboratively discover the optimal solutions, those that are best for the company.

– The company may still be quite small, but the key positions have already been staffed by individuals with considerable experience and knowledge. Do you find time during the day to communicate, exchange interesting information, share experiences, and perhaps even inspire one another?

In our company, we hold meetings with the entire team, during which I constantly find myself in the awe of everyone’s professionalism. The clear strategies of the marketing department inspire me; these are individuals capable of multitasking at an incredible pace. I am impressed by the financial and legal departments for their perseverance and tranquility. The director’s ability to look beyond the immediate horizon is something I deeply admire. Indeed, interacting with such a team definitely broadens my perspective.

– What would you advise to the newly recruited staff members of “GreenRock” to successfully adapt and participate in the corporate life?

Don’t let fear hold you back. Seek out the appropriate words, pay attention to the details, have a clear understanding of your actions, and embrace the process of learning, relearning, and continual growth.

– What would you wish to “GreenRock” as it approaches implementation of its significant objectives and social initiatives?

Empathy, attentiveness, compassion, mercy, humanity, sincerity, care, honesty, decency, gratitude, selflessness, responsiveness, openness, independence, freedom and love.

– Natalya, if you could swap places with one of your employees for one day, who would you swap with and why?

With Gnel. In our team, there’s someone who swiftly addresses any on-site issues; he drives a vehicle that seems tailored to his needs, and being alongside him feels as secure as standing behind a solid wall. I’m intrigued by this experience and would like to give it a try myself.

– How would you describe your work in three words?

Strategy, communication and management

– And, perhaps, the final traditional questions: tea or coffee?

Tea mixed with coffee
