Mareta Gevorkyan: Inspirational Leader in Change and Innovation
"My vision is to create a diverse and inclusive multifunctional environment that contributes to the sustainable development of Armenia. Our team nurtures the mission with determination, devotion and the belief that every project we make is a step towards a prosperous future of our homeland."

Mareta Gevorkyan is driven by a profound commitment to Armenia’s future — a country she holds close to her heart. Her work embodies the belief that heritage and innovation can intertwine to create a sustainable and vibrant tomorrow. At the center of this vision stands GreenRock, a pioneering initiative that unites large-scale territorial development with ecological responsibility, dedicated to enhancing Armenia’s urban landscape and fostering its long-term prosperity.
Green Rock’s mission is to create together with people — honoring the past and empowering the future.
GreenRock reflects Mareta’s forward-thinking philosophy. The company leads projects that prioritize environmental sustainability alongside social enrichment, focusing on advancing infrastructure while nurturing cultural vitality. Through GreenRock, Mareta envisions urban models that harmonize progress with tradition, proving that innovation and environmental stewardship can walk hand in hand.
One of GreenRock’s key areas of focus is the development of Dilijan — a town known for its unique natural and cultural heritage. Mareta, a native of Dilijan, has a deep emotional connection to the town, shaped by personal memories and a strong sense of belonging.
The development plan includes eco-friendly hotels, residential spaces, public areas, and educational institutions — all designed to foster sustainability, encourage community engagement, and drive economic growth.
Green Rock is implementing a range of both commercial and social initiatives in Dilijan, aimed at fostering the town’s sustainable development. These projects enhance the region’s attractiveness to tourists, improve the quality of life for local residents, and contribute to the creation of a harmonious and inclusive urban environment.
One of Green Rock’s flagship projects is the development of a multifunctional complex that will address the town’s current infrastructure gaps by introducing essential business units catering to both locals and visitors. The project includes a 205-room hotel, three cinema halls, an infinity pool, a helipad, commercial spaces, and conference facilities. It also features the restoration of a historic building, transforming it into a bar-restaurant while carefully preserving its architectural integrity and authentic character—bringing new life and purpose to the space.
Plans further include the creation of an art park, which will harmoniously integrate Dilijan’s natural landscape with elements of contemporary design, and the construction of a concert hall—a one-of-a-kind venue in the region designed to host events of varying formats and scales.
In addition to its commercial efforts, Green Rock carries out high-impact social projects through its charitable arm, the Green Rock Foundation.
The Foundation’s work is structured around four core pillars: education, ecology and sustainable development, culture, and community development. Each initiative is designed to promote inclusive growth and build resilient urban environments.
Notable projects include a virtual reconstruction of a painting by Aivazovsky, the launch of the Apicius international hospitality school in partnership with Italian collaborators, and the Meet Dilijan initiative, aimed at positioning the town as a leading tourism destination. Meet Dilijan has already been recognized with the prestigious MICE Excellence Award, which named Dilijan the best international destination for hosting events.
Another major initiative is the Tourism Regional Forum, which brings together professionals, experts, and key stakeholders to discuss current trends, share best practices, and foster collaboration within the tourism industry.
Green Rock has also launched the Green Cab project — a fleet of Toyota Corolla hybrid vehicles introduced to improve local transportation infrastructure while advancing environmental sustainability in Dilijan.
Each of Mareta Gevorkyan’s projects is characterized by a desire for synthesis: nature and city, memory and future, beauty and functionality. Her work is not just about designing spaces, but creating an environment in which sustainability becomes a way of life, and culture becomes the basis for development.
